Today at the Chrysler Classic the car set a new best of 13.056 @ 113.89, a guy from cincy is bringing some slicks to borrow for later today. I do have a question for the people that know the nhra rule book. Ok when the race is over and your on the slow down, is it the faster car turns first or is it whoever gets to it first/ slows down slower. And if somebody runs 99mph at 11.99 and somebody runs 13.00 @125 say does this rule still apply ? I had a butthead in a cuda today tell me he had the right away but my trap was 9mph faster so who's car is " faster" on the slow down side ? Mike C, Ken, anybody with knowledge of the slow down side please let me know.

i think under all circumstances the lane closer to the turnaround has the right of way.. you can't base it on traps or ET because people's reaction times vary etc etc and it would be a tough judgement call near or at the end of the track.

If you go across the line first and the other cars flys by you like your setting still, odds are pretty good the other guy is trapping more and there fore takes more time to slow down.
I had a vac leak today so was unable to run, however I am pretty sure its whoever gets there first. I think it was just another old guy that think his v-8 is fast, 12.11 @109 in a muscle car is weak if you ask me.

pretty much whoever gets to the turn off first. i personally usually just follow behind someone if they are infront. otherwise i just decide on it when i get close to the turn off.

hmm, i really just think im random. if someone is ahead of me, i let them go, if im ahead of them (no matter what lane) i go. if they are going really fast, i just slow and let them take their time.

If I'm in the far lane from the turnoff, I wait until the other guy makes his turn, unless he's ahead of me. I don't know if there are any rules, per se, but the common courtesy would be to let the guy in the lane closest to the turnoff go first. It's like when you get off the highway, you would get pissed if you were in the right lane and a guy cuts across you from the middle lane to get off at the exit, when he could have just as easily let you go by and get off behind you.

Thanks guys, I was in the right lane, so I will just contiune to do this in the future. There is just something in the air at NTR with old guys in v8s trapping 110 or less that think their car is gods gift of horsepower to man.
