I was headed down Hamilton in front of the airport yesterday afternoon and saw a blue ws6 with dealer tags and a sticker on the front window. Pulled up gave the a hello BOV in their window. Looked back to see one lady driving and one in the passenger seat. They quickly pulled up next to me and the passenger waved goodbye. lol. She punched it, my buddy waved to them and I downshifted. I pulled pretty hard and had a good 1 - 1.5 cars on them. Had to shut it down pretty quick because we were headed into Whitehall. I realize that the driver probably wasn't very good, I just thought it was funny they tried to wave goodbye. :)

sorry man, but the ws6's arent as fast as people think. atleast the ones i've seen/raced. 1/8 mile the quickest ones i've seen are 8.6 and higher. pretty sad when the pofs 1g ran 8.300. i'll gladly line up to one...........just let me fix my shit. :bash

i NEVER said the 2g was stock! and i DID say that the STOCK ws6's arent that incredibly fast. and i never even mentioned the 2g anyway. except for i'd love to line up with a ws6. the 1g, beater that is BPU and gutted ran 8.3 flat on STOCK ecu settings with absulutely NO tuning with a 255lph that is running CRAZY AZZ rich(lipps can vouge for the smoke/stinch of raw fuel) and only a couple passes with me in the car. i know ken, i'm not a CRAZY AWESOME DRIVER like you think i think i am. and i know i dont know shit compared to you, this we've proven a thousand times over. i am an idiot sometimes and am very impatient with my car. i know i'm a stupid 17 year old but i'm not gonna blame my ignorance on that. and i'm tired of ur bullshit on the message boards but then you act all cool and shit at the meets. i got no beef with you except for the way u act on the boards compared to in person. i'm just straight up tired of the bullshit on here, this is one of the reasons why i havent felt like working on my car, no matter what i do ur gonna bitch and complain about how i bought this or how i have other people tune my shit. i only have other people get the basic settings man, then i fine tune my car. i'm sorry if i dont live up to your almighty " big time college man i know all" image.

in the same sense...is it safe to assume that when people list the mods that they have, that there isn't much more if any more at all that they have done? especially that if one would think that this person is trying to help that they wouldn't leave such important information out?

Yeah, a car the runs low 13's/high 12's @107-110mph (manual trans.) is overrated. Let's not forget that 90% of the LS1's put down over 300HP bone stock with some putting down 320ish stock.

That is sure overrated for a car rated at 320HP at the flywheel.


Boy, that is just no comparison for those stock SRT-4's and DSM's! Those high 13s/low 14s and high 14s/low 15s 1/4's are just awesome!


Anyone that thinks a WS-6 is overrated is very ignorant of the car world.

I went to the track and saw a DSM that couldn't run better than a 15.9 and a SRT-4 that didn't run any better than a 15.5. That must mean they are all slow and overrated.

At least dumbasses make things interesting and gives the moderators something to do. Eh?

ok, yes stock vs. stock the ws6 is much faster. and the ws6 has much more potential. personally i'd rather own a ws6 than my dsm. BUT i cant afford one. the statement about overrated is that many people think that ws6/SS are so extremely fast. yes they are quick cars, but they should be, that's what they are made for. i race at pacemakers quite a bit, and constantly receive challenges from guys with ws6's and SS's. anytime someone see's my car they dont believe that i was outrunning even slightly modded ones. i'm just sayin that if i spend $15-20 grand on a v8, it better be able to beat a car that i have $1g in it. i'm just sayin that i could have invested another $10 grand in that car and have something that is still less than the ws6 or ss but is much quicker and i would be able to put in the full interior and make the car back to a very nice daily driven car. i was just sayin that if a car that cost me $1k can pull on an even slightly modded 6 speed, then i think the car is overrated by many of the people who think it's untouchable. i'm just diggin myself deeper, so i'll just stfu

alrite, i agree with that. i think i just was thinking in the wrong direction. plus my dsm is a 1 purpose straight line car. the ws6/ss is a much more reliable more comfortable better looking car than mine. and it can do more than go in a straight line.

For 30 grand you can run the times that your $1000 BeatR did with a cooler and spare tire in the back.

What's the point of bringing price into the equation? You'll probably never find an LS1 powered car for $1g, even in another 20 years. There was a little different target buyer for those cars than what DSM's were. Not everyone chooses to drive a $1g bucket.

Spend $10G on each and which do you think will get down the 1/4 faster?
