I was coming home from work this evening, traveling on 315N. I see a yellow Stang coming up behind me. He pulled up next to me and revved a couple of times, so I'm thinking, "it's on!" and opened my cut-out. When traffic cleared up near Bethel Rd, he changed lanes and gunned it (I noticed a "dealer" tag on it.) I downshifted from 5th to 4th and took pursuit. I was right behind him the whole time; then I floored it in 4th and just pulled around him like he was cruising. I had put a couple of bus lengths between us, so I slowed down to 65 MPH.

He pulled up to my rear, so I thought to myself, "see if he can hang." Again, I downshifted from 5th to 4th and floored it. He tried to stay behind, but by the time I shifted into 5th, I had put about 3 1/2 bus lengths between us. He stayed behind, so I slowed down, then exitted at 161. I waved at them and they waved back. They were real cool about it.

please explain why a stang is "gay"

cause 75% of people that own mustangs think theyre stock mustang is the fastest thing on the road.
This one guy i work with has flowmasters and a chip on his v6 stang and he claims its a beast...he talks like its a 9 sec car.
and mostly everyone i see that drives a stang claims they are like a muscle car god but there are some stang drivers i have respect for and their cars. But its the other percent that makes me not like stangs.
This one guy with a stock auto V6 stang argued with me for 15 minutes about how there is no possible way a 4 cylinder could hang with a V6.
(ignorance is Bliss)

ill probably get flamed for this but, oh well!

But what im saying is that most mustang drivers are ignorant and that makes them get a bad rap in my opinion....but the same with any car i guess

if kon pulled 3 1/2 BUSlengths on an 03 cobra wouldnt that put him in the high 11 low 12 trap speed range?

It's OK if people don't believe the "story." What took place was a couple of highway pulls from about 55 mph. Plus, there were factors that could've have affected the outcome: 1) Was the other guy really trying? 2) Was it an auto (is there an auto SVT?) 3) I have a 15psi internal wastegate, but with the cutout opened, it will increase boost to ~18-19psi.

Should I run 11's or 12's at the track??? I should, but I don't because I haven't been to the track yet this year with my current setup. Heck, I achieved a 13.8 with a Super 16G with a Starion front-mount and stock GS-T catback (cutout wasn't installed yet.) HRC ran mid 11's with the exact same setup I got. It must also be noted that Bill Hahn, Jr. also sticks 1.5-1.6 60 fts. with his FWD RS.

Am I capable of duplicating those numbers? Probably never because my best 60 ft is a 2.3, and I can't drive from a dig to save my life. It's a no brainer when you're already cruising 50-55 mph and dropping to 3rd or 4th and just mesh the gas pedal. At this travel speed, the Super 20G spools up quite easily, which is where it's more efficient.

Furthermore, I've never instigated a race when I'm on the freeway, but I have accepted a few. I don't like to race on the street or freeway too much, but if the condition is right, I would. Please take the story at face value. I didn't post to brag, to degrade any other car (I respect any car enthusiast and type of performance car,) or to prove any point. I posted the story, simply, to share the experience.

Heck, why am I trying to justify myself. I don't give a sh*t what people think anymore. I mod my car so that I could enjoy it, and to hold my own----not to be the fastest. If that was my goal, I would've paid another $150 for a Super 25G. I'm done.

Actually 2 ways ;)
We have a couple customers 03/4 cobras that would be more than happy to run a dsm for fun from a roll. One just has suspension mods and a K&N and the other has a few more (basically just bpu) but it still put down 43x whp on pump gas. STRONG cars.
