Ticking sound

After I got my cams I could hear a ticking sound, told it was normal. Now, it seems it's gotten louder. What is it? Sounds like it's coming from the intake manifold/an injector maybe? Doesn't sound like it's coming from under the valve cover, but it may be. Not sure. I need to drive to an interview tomorrow and Wed. I hope nothing is wrong. Still pulls and drives great. Might call Quantum tomorrow and get them to check it out Thurs. Any thoughts?

The injectors have a loud clicking sound that can be confused with a lifter tick.

The only issue I have is why is it happening?

I need to just take the car somewhere and have it looked over. I also need the exhaust welded. The clamps seem to work somewhat but the tinging rattling noise is due to the slip fit. The pipe is banging around inside the other. Clamp won't fix it, just holds the pipes together. Nothing like having a nice car that sounds like crap above 3k RPM. :rolleyes

I don't think they put a crank angle sensor on that engine. And besides, he said the ticking was up top.
