Evo Engine???

i was just wondering if anyone has tried to put a new evo engine in a RS eclipse??? If not, i plan on trying this soon D and if anyone has any info on what all i have to do to make this project go, please help me out. I heard it will bolt right up to my old setup but then i have to get all the wiring and other stuff, but if anyone has any ideas on this topic let me know.....thanks thumb

Used EVO engines are on the market for about $3000 right now. I don't think your tranny will come close to mounting which means you're looking at converting the EVO tranny/transfer case set up to FWD and finding axles and hab assemblies to mate. If it does indeed drop right in, you're still without an ECU and who knows how many sensors. I could see this project costing close to $10K which would be better spent on a 2G AWD or as a nice down payment on the almighty itself ;)

ok thanks guys, i just didnt know how hard of a project that would be but now that u have told me all this im lookin for a nice gst or gsx out there. If anyone knows of anybody whos sellin a nice one of them im interested in checking it out.
