I realize that these haven't been updated in a while, but I don't believe they have changed too much. Take a look at 1st on the first list and 2nd on the 2nd list. There is potential.

So that makes three of us i suppose.
When i got my 94 auto i wasn't sure if i would like it but there are some benefits to having an auto over a manual transmission such as it eliminates the possibility of human error while racing ("missing a shift"), your always consistant in your times, and yes their slightly heavier (<by approx. 80 lbs if i remember correctly, someone feel free to correct me if im wrong) but that doesn't mean you can't shave that 80 lbs off by putting your car on a diet ;)
Not to mention, with the shift kits, performance end clutch packages and higher stall rated torque converter's available it's definitly a possiblity to keep up with a manual car. Remember the best club pass to date was made by a auto transmissioned car. (note the words: TO DATE)
If your looking for some small adjustments/mods you can make to your tranny to get a better response try this site... http://www.plymouthlaser.com/ , its has some good VFAQ's on auto's in it. also the only vendor i've found for the auto transmission in dsm's is this one... http://www.importperformancetransmissions.com/ , prices aren't too bad if you do the work yourself, but if you want a performance tranny "built" for you, its gonna cost ya. suppose when you compare them to shep it can be steep, but hey, no one said owning a dsm was gonna be easy on your wallet :)
if you have any resources you'd like to share feel free, hope some of this helped you out. and goodluck keep us posted :beer
