As I approach the day that I am pulling this thing apart... is there any last minute things that I should know.. any hidden things that you all have had troubles with when pulling the engine and putting it back in? Any help is always welcome. Thanks,
Josh

No hidden secrets, but I'd advise bagging everything in a zip lock bag and label EVERYTHING--especially wire harnesses and connectors.

+ 1, I got lazy when doing mine even though mike Black yelled at me and shook his fist. I paid dearly with extra time.

Or you can try putting the bolts back in the spots they went prior to removing them. This helps when you have bolts that are different lenghts, ie your timing assembly. Or you could use card board, draw a diagram or sketch of what you removed and push the bolts threw the card board where the would be on the engine. Labeling the harness is kinda important, look through your service manual if you dont know what sensor is what.

Sam's Club sells Zip lock bags in bulk. 4 boxes are packed together. I'd get the gallon-size freezer bags (freezer ones = thicker). They come 40 per box, so you'd get 160.
I think I got a REALLY good deal on these Ziplock brand bags at Sam's the last time I was there. Sometimes the stuff at Sam's is not a deal.
If you are tearing apart an engine, I'd suggest a miniumum on 2 boxes 80 bags. You don't want to run out. You'd be cutting it close with 40 if you are lucky and don't waste any.
...and you need a pad of small paper and a felt tip marker with red or green ink to label what is in each bag. A permanent marker would work good. Since there is a lot of grease/grime everywhere, the red or green ink would stand out better and would be easier to read if you smeared crap all over it.
I thought about writing on the outside of the bags but the bags are clear and it is harder to read crap written on the outside of the bag.
