i put new back brakes and calipers on with ss lines, ive bled the lines, there is no leaks in the lines to the calipers...when i pump the brake pedal with the car off, it will get hard in a second, but right after i pump them up i go to press it again and it will go to the floor... with my car on, when i pump the pedal sitting still my boost gauge vacuum goes from 19 to 14...but it will go back to normal after i quit pumping... ive took the ss lines back off and put the stock ones on and its still doing the same thing...WTF?

i looked on the dsm manual cd and it says the brake booster has vacuum going to it...there isnt any leaks from the hose off the intake manni...i even put a better clamp on it...

what do you guys think? i need my car for my new job too...this shit sux..

Did you bleed the fronts?
Dead/dying master cylinder?
Cracked vacuum line?

i bled the front when i put new pads and rotors on the first time and it was ok...but yes i bled them twice this time because i switched the lines back to stock, i did kims the first time and hers are fine...

the lines look ok...but i dont know about the master clyinder...

before i did all this the rear of my car would raise up and sorta turn to the right a little bit, so i was thinking my back brakes were shot or the calipers were seized...

im running outta brake fluid...lol

kind of points to a vaccum leak.

The brake booster is already at a vaccum before you hit the brakes...so hitting the brakes should not bring you away from vaccum (as in, you can't suck air away from something that doesn't have any).

If you had a leak in the hose from the brake booster to the manifold then your car would idle higher.

I think you need a new brake master cylinder or a new brake booster thingy. It looks like it leaks only when you push in the pedal.

A pedal going to the floor usually means a fluid leak but, I assume, you aren't leaking any fluid.

I bled them one more time and it seemed to work this time...my brakes are really hard now... it feels good to stop good again... new brakes rock dudes!.
