nope normaly no way to do it....bc most factory alarms are part of computer or other party to car...so if u remove 1 us lose functions of all the others..

sometimes there is a way to program it so it doesn't turn on...but you would have to check w/ a dealer or a manuel

ok well i have a factory alarm, but when i bought the car i didnt get any little clicker thing to turn it on or off so everytime i unlock my car and open the door the damn thing goes off.... and it looks kinda shady at 2 in the morning when im leaving a friends house and im under the hood trying to discontect the battery becase the alarm wont go off haha and i dont feel comfortable just leaving the car unlocked because of the guages and turbo timer

Does the horn honk when the alarm is going off? If so, that is usually a clue it is a factory alarm. If it sounds like an aftermarket alarm, it usually is.

Just look up under the dash below the steering wheel. There might be the control module for the alarm tucked up in there.

If you can get to the alarm, you might see a label to determine what brand/model it is. Then tell us what it is.

If anything, you could go buy another alarm for $50- $100 and replace the one in your car. They have already figured where to splice into the car so it should be real easy to install a new one.

there has got to be a fuse someplace for it.
if not im sure its tapped into something look in both fuse boxes.

if it's a factory there is going to be no place that it "tap's" into..it will be intergrated in the car wiring it self....u will not see any taps/splices etc.....as for a fuse...most car's don't have 1 for a factory alarm bc normaly power locks etc are also controled by same brain so if u lose 1 ...u lose all it's functions..

i checked a couple programs i have here @ my shop and they say for a 1g alarm......N/A for a disarm wire ....

normaly if there is a factory alarm for a car we have to disarm it to install a remote start and we find that wire and apply ground to it...but in the 1g's case none listed....

if aftermarket thats easy find the brain under the dash....that will have wires taped into main harness comming down steering colume..and just unplug it...

well its for sure a factory alarm because its the horn honking and when i lock the door there is a green security light that goes on for a few seconds in the factory cluster.

ill check for a fuse but i dont remember seeing one for an alarm when i was instaling my guages

if that wire is corret as listed in above link...that will work ....but make sure to test it 1st....use a loaded test light ...put the loaded test light on that wire and when u put your key in the door and unlock the door that test light should show that wire going to ground (but that is only when u r using your key to unlock door)....if so thats corret......that wire should read open (or netural) when no key is turned..
