I remember a post from a long while back about polishing headlights that have gone nasty. who is it that is really good at doing even the 2G ones that have the driver's side problem witht he plastic. I'd even be willing to pay someone to make my spare set look like new.

steve, you can do it yourself and be fine. Mothers polish works wonders. If you have the time, take the lights out, heat them up and break them apart and polish both sides of the lense. reseal them, and drill little holes on the bottom, and your set. If you need any assitance, pm me

well you should see what I have done to the ones I have now....NASTY and F'ed up...I tried wet sanding and different compounds.....no luck. should I use something other than hand buffing it?
I guess that this is me asking for assistance ; )

just to clarify, is this on your 95 or on your 92?
i use meguire's alum. polish on my headlight's, it seems to work fairly well but you have to keep cleaning them about once a month. i hate the yellow tint that show's up, makes me think of a neon.
On my 94 I polished them with sand paper and haven't got any yellow back yet
some say to use the aluminum polish on the 95+ but the wet sand buffing method works better and will give you a more glass like look
just remember to take your time!!!!!!

this is on my 95
95-96 headlights had a problem (as did many other dodge headlights) where the plastic almost looks like it is layered on.
I just remember someone saying that they had done the 2G ones and never had the yellow come back

Mother's, huh? Weird.
Anyhow, I would get some 3m plastic polish and try that. That stuff is pretty amazing.
You could probably try using my Porter Cable DA on it if you didn't want to or couldn't get it by hand. Probably just turn the speed down a bit. :)
