I want to pass along some information to the readers now that it is offically public knowledge. As some of you know, Tym Switzer left Buschur Racing a few weeks ago to start his own business. Tym had been at Buschur for over 7 years and has been one of the key innovators behind their race team's performance over the years.

Tym left primarily because he is interested in tackling new, challenging projects. He will be offering a wide scope of services to people for everything imagineable. At this point, if there is something you are interested in, emailing him directly is your best bet. He is in the process of opening a shop in Elyria(west side of Cleveland) and should have a full facility running in 30 days. His plans include an AWD dyno as well. Although he will specialize in many "one off" projects, I suspect he will offer many basic services like motor rebuilds, headwork, tranny rebuilds, full standalone setups ETC. Even though his primary focus has been on the DSM/EVO community, he is looking to accept other makes and models as well.

I have known Tym for about 7 years now and he has always been my primary interface at Buschur Racing. I have become pretty good friends with him, particularly in the last year, and there is nobody in the country that I would trust more with my investment than him.

If anyone has specific questions, I may be able to answer them for you but feel free to contact Tym directly as he is usually pretty responsive to email.

thanks guys,

I wanted to pass along some information to those interested. Tym is in the process of acquiring an AWD Dynojet. The dyno should be up and running in 8 weeks. Pricing for the dyno will be a flat rate of $110 for 3 pulls. This will include the use of the wideband input and there will be no additional charge if race gas is used.

If people are looking for specific tuning help, there will be an additional fee if Tym is required to be part of the process. Otherwise, he has other people that will be qualified to help set the car up on the dyno and run the machine. He will most likely have different rates depending on what the scope of service is. For example, a simple tweek of the AFC would be a lesser charge than working on an EMS.

The shop is located in Elyria and is about a 2 hour drive from Columbus. Maybe a little far for some of us but we have a number of members on here from that area. Appointments can be made by calling the shop at 440.323.0060 or by emailing tym@switzerperformanceinnovation.com

Will this particular dyno have the ability to run FWD?

I know of zero AWD dyno's that cannot do FWD or RWD. There is no such thing.

I was almost possitive that the AWD dynojet that Mike C. spoke of could do both, but wasn't sure if it utilized "rollers" or not. Or whether or not it could still be converted to do a 2wd car still using "rollers".

It was more of a question that i was almost positive i knew the answer to, but wanted to clarify for anyone else thinking of going to Swytzer for their dyno-ing need's.

one roller moves back and forth, because not all AWD cars have the same wheelbase. It can be locked for 2WD applications.

Any possibility of getting a dyno day sometime? Perhaps some of the club funds can be used to go towards this instead of one of the track days.
