i was looking into a 3in exhaust but not sure which one to get ATR or Buschur. what set up is everyone running with this exhaust. and which is louder inside sound on the freeway
I have a Buschur 3" turbo back. Very loud cruzing at 3000rpm. It has a very deap tone though. I like it. None of the high pitched Honda Rice. Oh Sorry :D

hondas are NA, pretty much any NA exhausts are loud as f*ck.
there was a black 2g at homedepot last summer (talon guy knows him) that was NA, h/e and was loud an annoying.

quietest exhaust for the money i think is RSR, so i'm told. I think w/ the help of some glasspacks(sp?) any exhaust can be toned done. they are not really similar things , quiet usually doenst equate to nice hp gain.

Some companies will put different muffler options on there for you that will tone it down without much loss in performance. I just ordered a full 3" exhaust for the EVO for example and Buschur has available a number of muffler options ( I got the Magnaflow which is supposed to be very quiet off throttle). My 3" Buschur exhaust on the race car with the Dynomax muffler is very loud IMO by comarisson.

I would not run a 3" exhaust with anything 16g or smaller. The 2.5" is more than adequate and your chances of creep poblems will go way down. You may make a tad more HP with a full 3" if you had a maxed out 16g setup with alot of other bolt ons around it but otherwise I would stick with the 2.5"

i ran 3" thermal with my 14b. great setup. had a 2.5" test pipe with stock dp. rather quiet too. but made the power big time when i added a dump. i'd say go 3" personally. as long as u can tunne it and have a good boost controller.

The size of the downpipe is the main contributing factor to boost creep. You can do as drew said and run a smaller 2.5" downpipe/testpipe with a 3" catback but its still overkill on a 14B/16G IMO.

It's a little expensive but HKS makes a 2.5" catback that looks pretty close to stock and is extremely quit for a performance exhaust.

you talking about the HKS Hi-power? if you are, yea, its pretty quiet, but not exactly sleeper look. the muffler comes out bent to the side (looks real nice). i know someone who has it on there 1g and they love it, they wish it was louder, but overall impressed with it.

on second thought
My cutout, as of today, isnt sealing and it rattling on partial open.
Also, johns quit entirely, he had to pay 30 bucks to have the motor replaced.
Food for thought.

I have a 3" "custom" exhaust that I haven't felt like putting on the car.
Might get rid of it for cheap...

I bought it for $20.
Kind of tempting to put it on the car though. I just don't want it to be loud.
It's a trust downpipe and dunno what type of cat back, basically just a test pipe to a muffler. It would exit in front of the rear axle.
You paid $20 for a 3" exhaust?

You paid $20 for a 3" exhaust?
Yup.
Downpipe has been hacked and had a 4 bolt flange welded on, so I need to weld on a 3 bolt and it will bolt up.
I just don't want the car to be loud, I like how it is now...
Though more power is always good. :D
Has a 4 bolt flange? Needs a 3 bolt Flange? Where on a DSM downpipe is there a 3 bolt flange?

I was looking in summit and saw that they offered a airmass warlock cat-back exhaust system. It was 3 inche diameter tubing for the eclipse turbo. Has anyone seen this on an actual eclipse?
