Exactly :down
Did this just happen all of the sudden?? Notice any strange things lately? Clutch sticking? Hard starts? Ticking noises while running?

yea it did just happen all of a sudden. the clutch was not sticking, no ticking noises while it was running, thats why i asked the questions because there were no symptoms. the clutch was as stiff as a virgins meat curtians. the car did have a little problem starting yesterday when i went to school, but started up after laeving to go to work, after work it start up aliitle bad but hten started, then last night around 4, it just wouldnt turn over.

do the usual:
Check for
spark
fuel
take the timing cover off and make sure the gears are turning.
The car will tick if the battery is low and the starter is not turning.

very true.
Take out the battery and go to autzone and have them do a load test.
If its just TICKING and not CRANKING over... I would say battery for sure.

Do you mean: When you turn the key to start the car, the starter never turns the motor but just makes a clicking sound? But your lights still work?
Sounds like a low battery or a bad electrical connection to the battery. The first thing you need to do is remove both battery cable connections and clean them.

I bet its your battery. It takes alot more juice to start your car than to play your stereo. Next I'd check your motor fuse. Pull out the battery and take it to Autozone. 30 minutes and it will narrow it down greatly before you start tearing your hair out and worrying about scary things :thumb

Ummm... how about the starter itself? Have you tried tapping the solenoid w/ a hammer? Have you tried a push start? That's where my money's at :bash
