after a healthy run and the bov sounding, followed by either putting the clutch in or nuetral the a/f gauge goes straight rich and the car drops to 100-200 rpms and sometimes dies. im thinking the bov doesnt shut all the way or something. any ideas?

Mike it's because your venting to the atmosphere. Does it pick back up after a little bit? mine does the same thing I just make sure to do a little rev to use up the rich condition or just shift to the nexr gear. The venting causes a rich condition becasue the mas records the air that is vented.

Another thing I've been told helps is to richen it up with the afc. Mine rarely comes close to dying. I have the HC's out, also, which may help since it's letting uncounted air in, and the BOV is letting counted air out.

He's got a SSQ I believe. Highly doubtful it leaks...

Yea mike i have your exact same bov and IC piping set-up. If i give it some throttle then realese the bov and immidietly shove in the clutch or pop it into neutral it does that. Its like shumway said its because we are venting to the atmosph.

Hmm. Well, maybe mine is different. I have the HKS vented to atmosphere and have not any sort of problems whatsoever with mine. Take the metal case off the BOV and make sure that the rubber ring is inside and inspect it. I once put the case back on the bov and forgot the rubber ring! Doh! Car didn't run too good without it.

Nothing different about yours, I know of a couple people who have had no problems. I have no problems, but I have my hc's out. Each car is different.
