All i have to say is wow. I do realize that the fans were out of control and do need some kind of repremand. But the two pacers that went into the stands and attacked the fans. END of fuckin contract and no more pay....period.
go home and play streetball for pennies compared to your million dollar contract.
Thoughts?

The way I see it, it's NYC. The fans for all their sports tend to get pretty rowdy. If you can't control your emotions on the court, you shouldn't be playing professional sports. It was wrong to throw shit on the players, but that doesn't mean that the players should go after the fans. That is security's job, leave it to them.

HA...
i think it's the whole gangsta mentality. "im a thug, im a bad ass, i've got all this money and rides, and this toy and that toy..... im better than you..." so on and so forth that fueled alot of it. yeah so a fan intervene's and throw's some pepsi on a player, rather than turning to the officer or a member of security and telling them to kick them out you decide to take it upon yourself to get into a physical confrontation with them. bullshit. Be the professional they pay you to be and sit there and shut the fuck up. If you've got a problem with a fan that's what security is for.
as for taking away contract's. i agree to a certain degree. it will get the NBA's point across if they do something as drastic as that. Other player's were quoted (shaq being one of them) that they would've done the same thing in the same situation.
The thing that really piss's me off is that the announce's were saying that there was almost no fault on the player's when the confrontation was on the court?!?!? but in the stand's it's a different story. wtf?

If I were in that situation I would have honestly went into the stands and knocked that shit wipe out for throwing stuff at me. Its not about letting security do their job and looking like a professional. Bottom line, if someone throws pop or a hotdog or anything of the sort at me I would be in the stands in a flash throwing punches. The fan deserves what he got plus some. He had no reason to throw anything. I didnt see the players doing anything to harm the fans until some jackass threw pop.

if i got hit in the face w/ a cup of something i would be pissed as well and probably want to kick that persons ass and most likely go after them.. now i can only hope that the fan's get punnished as much as the players did. i know as players you not susposed to go after them (fan's) like that...but no matter if the person is a psycho or not he was prevoked...i think the fan should get banned from nba games (either for a certian abount of time or what ever)... and if he has season passed then it should be revoked... the players that were involed can't be the only one's punnished in this

look at it this way, if someone came into your shop, Jay, and threw something at you, would it be okay for you to jump the counter and punch them in the face? Probably not, you would ask them to leave and call the cops. Same goes here, this is these guys place of business, they should conduct themselves that way.
Now, I've heard/read that the team is going to revoke seat licenses and tickets for season ticket holders that were involved, and the D.A. is looking into pressing charges on both players and fans.

i didn't know you could press charge's for throwing soda/beer at someone?
they could argue that they were simply defending themselves (in some case's they would be right) from the player's. although the 'throwing of soda/beer' charge's would stick.

I would have reacted the exact same way, but that's just me. Someone would have gotten laid out.
