so who has the fastest 7 bolted car in columbus?
I was looking at the list but wast sure who has done a 6 bolt swap or not.
I wasnt sure if slowgsx had....if he has, my goal of having the quickest this coming season without doing a major overhaul of the turbo setup looks to be a little more out of reach that I had originally thought.
next down the list loooks like shummy....(doesnt count to me unless he drives his car up here to beat me ; )
and drew....how long ago was that quickest run of his?
turbo mark doesnt count, his 94 has a 6 bolt... is it then whitlow after that?
if slow gsx DID do a swap, then I suppose I challenge the others on their stock, weak a$$ 2g 7bolt to give me a run for my money and continue to put up some times this year. if he IS on a stock 7, then I will crawl home with my tail between my legs ; )
I'm not going to overhaul until a built 6bolt is in the car.

As far as i know, brandon ( slowgsx) is still running a 7 bolt. Not sure if you are goingt o count drew since he has run his car with his new setup. And os it leaves whitlow.
then me:D

ahh yes...this is what I wanted to see some enthusiasm ; )
I have the added benefit of getting a reliable daily driver this year.....so the gsx wont be getting beaten on every day. one catch is that I wont have a garage to work on it in after the first of the year...so this month is crunch time to get it back on the road. I'll see what I can do with my rediculous 3400+ lb. race wieght too. I'd love to post some good numbers with full audio. with financial luck, I will be linked this year and have a ton more control over the situation.
right now my pile only consistes of headgasket, clutch, waterpump, arp's, new boostcontroller, and a plan to remove ac and abs (availability of non abs parts willing)
ive got some work to do.

At one point my car was the fastest in the country on a 68 degree day that was mildy overcast, rolling on Goodyear RSA's, with 17psi on pump gas, and with one bad wheelbearing. Another guy beat my time at one point but he was on Pirreli's so that doesn't count.

you going to come out and pick it up? I really don't want to make that drive again, unless I'm towing it behind an RV. :)

well, technically it's only ran 12.60 @ 112mph i believe, BUT according to intervals on a less than half track pass, the car was on its way to a sub 12.30 before horrible ignition problems. 7.97 1/8mile @ only 82mph!! car ended up with a 12.7 @ 95 or so sputtering a distance before the 1/8 mile mark. who knows what will happen next year.

Brandon has a 7-bolt still. The 6-bolt is waiting in the garage. There's no sense in replacing it until it blows up. He's shooting for an 11.4 this season.

Does anyone have any documentation on what the fastest 7 bolt is? Like I have said in the past, running any serious boost on those rods is a ticking time bomb.........
Slowgsx

My transmission is broken as usual but the 7-bolt is completely stock and unopened. Not even aftermarket headgasket or ARPs. 28-29 psi at the track.

So the goal is to run 11.4 on a bone stock(cams) 2g 7 bolt?

Mike, I believe a few have made 500whp on bone stock short blocks. IT wont last long for sure.
All the tiems list I have seen only list car/turbo variations, and has no mention of the motor being stock/built/7 or 6 bolt. You will have to do some digging.

Shortblocks yes I could see, but not 500whp on a stock head/cams?

The fastest 7 bolt has gone 11.0's, in a fwd.

I said specifically said short blocks for a reason. A stock head/cam will never see 500whp on a stock 2.0, and don?t anyone try to give me some BS instance like 45psi form a t88 on race gas or something like.
Just for reference, I will be shooting for 400whp in spring on stock head/IM/ECU/and cams, due to my miniscule budget
