View Full Version : Check engine light

My check engine light came on while in Norwalk. Jared did the key dance and came up with a code 43,multiple cylinder misfire. I replaced the sparkplugs, but need to get rid of the check light to see if that solved the problem. HOW? I checked VFAQ and couldn't find the info.

disconnect the neg terminal on the bat for a minute

disconect the battery and/or any backup batteries or about 2min and the ck engine light should go off

do this as well....after disconnecting turm on your lights and turn ignition on...if you have any stereo caps and any little caps in the ecu they will drain for sure if you do that....

Yeah, that did it. I must not have taken the connections off for long enough. BTW, why did they design the car with 6 in plug boots? Dang things get stuck and rip. :cuss
