Well I was talking to some friend's that work at that new car audio shop off of huntly rd in westerville. It seem's that someone bought out Passen Motorsports. I am not sure who it was but heard rumor's that a guy that worked at mobile electronics got it.... anyone else hear that???

A long time ago it used to be called Auto Exotica, then Tony sold it to Sean Passen. Tony then started up Moble Electronics I think..
Dont know who bought it. Also Tony Croson (my brother in-law) before he started ForceFed Industries, made an offer to Sean to buy him out and it was A LOT more than 300k :p

I repect you dan weaver, and therfore I am not going into great detail but I am still furious about my dealing at FFI and I would like to know where my FPR went to, oh well they are no more and I will leave it at that. Passen has always been to pricey IMO, but never had any issues when buying items from them.

Um...Tom owns Mobile Electronics. Tony Barker used to own Auto Exotica, but sold the old location to Passen. Passen then moved over to their current location now on Bethel Rd, just across from the old Auto Exotica location. The original service location for Passen Motorsports has been there for over 10 years now. Mobile Electronics was started by Tom over 10 years ago as well. It was once located behind Totina's Pizza off Morse Rd, right next to Evan's Automotive. Hard to believe ME started out by Tom doing installs at dealerships out of his car, and what it is today.

lee made it what it is. he went to every dealership in columbus and fished big business for tom. tom is dedicated dude though he used to do the installs at 3am if the customer asked him to. lee made mobile and then mobile no longer needed lee...he wanted to own his own business anyway. he likes being at passen a lot...

my somewhat limited knowledge of Tony Croson:
He was employed as a mechanic at Dennis Mitsubishi. He left there to go work for Passen. I think he bought the video store while working at Passen. Then he eventually quit Passen (after maybe a year?) and sometime later started the FFI business with his friend "Hilljack" who was still working at Dennis. Then Tony sold the video store to concentrate fully on his FFI business.

Does anyone even use Passen for anything, they seemed to lack knowledge of DSM's when I went there? I think I knew more than the guy and thats not saying alot! Seemed like alot of Honda parts and VW.
Maybe we should open a DSM shop in Columbus :thumb Seems like they are always broke, good steady flow of business :thumb
