Under the dash by the clutch pedal there's a small harness leading to a switch near the area where the upper clutch lever hits the floor. Undo the clip at the switch and follow the harness up about six inches. There you will find another clip. Undo the second clip and remove wiring.

This will allow you to start the car w/o depressing the clutch. Thereby, decreasing the wear on the engine during start-up when oil pressure is minimal. (2G guys know what I'm talking about :Hammer )

NOTE: This will permit your engine to crank regardless of clutch position and gear selection. Therefore, only attempt to start the car with it in neutral! If you have a turbo timer, chances are you don't park with the car in gear anyways and this shouldn't be an issue.

...and....it helps out a lot when you are working on your car....being able to reach in the window to start the car....otherwise you would have to get in and sit down and push in the clutch while wearing your dirty greasy grimy clothing....gotta keep the interior clean

doesn't hurt it, and I would guess it's possible on a 1g. There has to be a connection at the top of the pedal somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

2g - white (or clear, whatever) plug at the top of the clutch pedal.
