Aight browsing through Cardomain I find this car GS Turbo'd

Great huh? nothing special BUT it has a fmic..

Someone plz tell my what good this fmic is doing when the turbo feeds directly into the TB

Are they show how using the fmic as a cold air intake?

Where is the rest of the photos? How can you pass judgement on his car without some better shots of what is really going on in the engine compartment?

I think the intercooler is connected up properly and what you are seeing is an intercooler pipe running in front of the turbo which makes it look like it is coming from the turbo.

Well im not passing judgement like i said i was asking how its doing any good..

Heres where I found it i know nothing about it but im pretty sure thats coming straight off the turbo into the tb..

From a different view, yeah, the turbo feeds directly into the TB.

I take it the picture was taken before he had the intercooler completely installed.

This guy looks like he might have spent more money on his car than Chad did.

Yeah like i said it just didnt look right w/ the FMIC and nothing going that way :bash

Looks like lots of money was spent here though props to the owner :beer

with all that rice in body kits and engine bay "mods" he may have. body/paint work is expensive. that looks like a hahn stage 1 kit w/o the intercooler. just plain dumb why they even offer it w/o the intercooler. but it may be cheaper to get the kit, buy a turbo sidemount and do some jc whitney piping. dunno.

I thought Kon was running without an intercooler when he first had his turbo installed.

I'm pretty sure he had the front mount side mount (with some pricey custom piping) once it first hit the road.

By looking at the pics, the owner probably just put on the Starion fmic and didn't have the i/c pipes finished yet. I initially had the HRC side mount that was mounted as a fmic, requiring a VERY pricey custom i/c to be fabbed :down If only I knew what I know now :(

I agree with Kon on the fmic. But if you look at the the photo of the valve cover there is no filter or hose going to the intake pipe. And if you look at the spark plug wires ,the wire loom is tuning white ,and is starting to melt from the heat off the valve cover. :confused ....Not dissen on his car but damn, what is he thinking! wtf
