Was gonna post this int he Evo section but I think this area gets more traffic. This might not be the right place though so move it if need be.
Thought I would share a few pics of the GT30R kit that just came in today. Nothing is fully installed, just mocked up. Hopefully I get things together by the weekend if I have time during the week.
Enjoy. :)

Bling...
Do you have any plan's to fabricate a heat shield between the upper radiator hose and the exhaust manifold, by the picture's it look's like their really snug.

Who put that kit together for you?
I didn't know you could get a GT30r with the old style 5 bolt turbine housing?
Where's Shearer?

That's a Precision Turbo and exhaust housing, they sell all kinds of GT stuff in there 5 bolt housing. When does that turbo reach full boost?
I love the polished ceramic coat. It turns a turd into something that everyone oooooohs over.

RNR Racing put the kit together for me. From others that have it they say it spools close to stock, slightly above. The rad pipe is close but there's enough room to not need a heat sheild. Yeah, it's pretty close but it's fine.

Who's manni is that? Full race maybe... Looks like it will work, but it is weird seeing a 30r in a 5 bolt discharge turbine housing and an unsurgeported cover. Maybe it is standard garret stuff, and they just slamed a 30r compressor wheel on it. get it on there and get to the track.

That does not tell me who made the manny, b/c I know they boys at RNR could not pull that one off, at least I highly doubt it. Any person with functioning brain cells can order parts, and ship them out.

I sure as hell better see a Colt at Norwalk on the 16th. Why does it seem there's always room for your negative comments. How bout props for a job well done? How many times have you talked shit about how much money Mike's got in his car, or rebuttal posts about how little you have in yours? I wanna see this "race" Colt before any more derogatory comments about shops are talked shit about. I just don't see the point. Put up or shut up. BTW I thought you had already bought that rollcage, now I hear things like "I won't have money for a cage now, but oh well" NICE...

How long did you wait for that kit after ordering it?

That will bolt up perfectly with my dp, nice. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a gt30r for my turd.
That kit looks really nice, you've got some really nice pieces on your car.

Thanks. :D
It took about a month and a half to get it. I had extra things done like polishing, drilling and taping for EGT probe, jet-hot coating and routing the dump tube back in which made it take longer. Ususally when you order it takes 3 to 4 weeks with no extras added. It was worth the wait though.

Did they offer the newer Garrett 4 bolt T31 exhaust housing or they just do all their stuff with the older Ford style housing?

I did not mean anything derogatory by my statements here, and if that is what you took away from it, sorry. I asked if it was full race's junk because it is a spitting image of the usual full-race design. The comment about RNR may have been a bit much, but they have never been into this type of production before, so I found it a tid odd.
As for the compressor cover, I asked again, because people have had sure problems putting the new GT wheels in unported covers (mostly 35r) and I do not want him to experience the same. and since it has an old school 5 bolt discharge, it makes my wonder what wheels and internals the turbo has. But since I am not allowed to inquire and ask questions..
Yo dat shiz mad tyte. I seen turbos like dems on semis and shit.
As for me car, it is a POS. It was not built to impress, and is by NO means a race car. I drive it everyday, I drive it everywhere. Stock motor, cams, no fun stuff. I just got done paying over 600+ for BS tickets, and since I pay for cars, school (full time), insurance, cell phone........I do not have any money for a cage. I will be there when I get out of my final on Monday and could give a shit less what anyone there thinks of it. It was the best way to spend (maybe 2000$ total invested now) I could think of, and it fulfills me needs.
Now, back to the topic..........

PTE's 5 bolt housing is a PTE casting and a quite good flowing turbine housing. Internally it is not the same as the old ford 5 bolt housing.
I have so much to say and add to this thread but I'm going to shut up.
