SUCKED OFF THE DOG!!!!!
Fastest car there was a 11.9@124mph (2G DSM).
Could have been easy pickings.

Any updated pics of the Colt Scot?
Give me a little more time, digital cameras broke. If someone posts any from today I'll get them up.

easy pickings huh?? i'm not sure anyone from columbus could have ran faster on the ice rink that is edgewater. i was spinning all 4 in 2nd gear! and you jipped me out of a MPH
but seriously i need the COP set up, scot. you said you didn't have any more left? guess i'll just order directly from tym. good seeing you again.

did you take home the quick 8 class trophy?
i don't know why, but for some reason I run well at Edgewater. If we didn't have our track day today, I would have definitely showed up.

Yeah i did win. That's crazy you run well there, it rained all day the day before and the track was devoid of freshly laid rubber that's needed for good traction. Track preparation (VHT, Cleaning, Maintenance) is never edgewater's strong suit anyways. I was 2/10th's and 2 to 3 mph slower than Norwalk and I ran there with the intake cam gear retarded one tooth. I've having serious misfire issues like Coltboostin. I'm looking to solve those before I run again and hope to finally get a clean pass. Congrats on your 11.6.

Congrats man... last spring there was an all DSM final. Slow but amusing nonetheless after all the big dawgs either broke or botched their launches.
Do you have a cage? Did they give you shit for running an 11 second pass? I've been meaning to contact Edgewater to see if they changed their policy to 11.499 or quicker for a cage.

They didn't say a word to me about it. No one else was even deep into the 12's so I assume they didn't say anything to anyone else. It appears as though Edgewater is becoming more liberal from a rules enforcement standpoint. I missed the spring Import drags last year, as I was living in Atlanta but it's good to know that a 4G63 powered car has won the import event at least 3 times in a row. Maybe more but I don't remember the 2003 results. Plus Aaron Ruppert won it in 2001 and Jay White won it in 2002.
No offense on the easy pickings comment. ;)
Call Tym and get the COP and then get ready to rock. If Coltboostin ran those ETs on stock stuff with no wheelie bars I'm really going to have my hand full with mine. :eek
I had the fastest in October 2003, but oh well. :( She has a new home now.

Sounds like it's been a complete domination for the 4G63 powered cars at import day. I can't remember what year they started having 2 Imports days a year but it goes something like this: Spring 2005 Joe (Me) Fall 2004 Adam with the EVO Spring 2004 Columbus DSMer Fall 2003 Scot Spring 2003 ?? 2002 Jay 2001 Aaron.

So none of the Mopar, VW, or Honda guys showed up? The black omni is a tough compititor and I believe he got his car into the 10's at the end of last year. And I was knocked out of the 1st round in Fall 2002 by a VW that was running 11.20's all day long.
The staff at Edgewater threatened to kick me out after my very first pass, after I ran a very unexpected 11.6x. After that I did a couple tuning/mph runs where I would trip the timer, brake, and then start my run. They didnt' mind that or they just didn't understand :)

No fast Turbo Dodge guys were there, the fast VW beetles showed up but couldn't get them to run. Imagine that. There were a slew of turbo'd honda's but of course they never run faster than high 12's (unless it's BASZ and his car rarely runs). All and all, a lot of talk but no one actually showed up and ran or had their car running. I hear it every year, My friend's cousins uncle has a neighbor with a 10 second civic and he's gonna run at import day. Glad to see DSM'ers aren't all talk and can back their shit up.
