Setting Base Fuel Pressure

To set the base fuel pressure, you must first disconnect the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator. If you do not do this, you will never get an accurate setting. If you try to adjust it with the vacuum line on, the actual base pressure will be lower than what your fuel pressure gauge reads due to the engine vacuum altering the behavior of the regulator. Adjusting the fuel pressure regulator with the line off gives a base pressure value at 0 PSI of boost.

The base fuel pressure setting for a 1G car should be 38psi and the base setting for a 2G car should be 43psi.
